My wife and I have been snorkeling and diving the reef systems of our great state from key Largo to the Dry Tortogas for over 25 years. However, I'm very sad to say that due to very bad management and over exploration of them, it has resulted in great and almost wanton deteriorating of this incredible system. My family and I no longer go to many reef sites anymore because of the destruction that has been allowed to happen in the name of tourism. We need to protect with a vengeance what is left and allow them to regenerate because in a very short time, there will be nothing left. This is not anything to do with climate change, just gross mismanagement and greed. I know I watched it happen. Please be a voice in Tallahassee.

The clementine hotel inn and suites is excellent. Great hot breakfast buffet. Free parking and large suites. I have not seen anything better.

Saii Phi Phi resort was awesome, snorkeling in front of the resort was great. We were only there for 3 days but it is our favorite place in Thailand after a 13day holiday from Phuket to Bangkok.

Underwater sculptures at 14:00 were all made by ReefCells for 1000 Mermaids.

It’s only 7 Kilometers long 😉 The ‘H’ in Hildago is silent. ‘Playa Norte’ (North Beach) is Trip advisor’s #1 beach in Mexico. The island is rather habit forming as we found, and eventually ended up moving here eight years ago. At MIA Reef, be prepared for mediocre food and access the the same beach areas everyone else gets for free (As per the Mexican Constitution, all beaches in Mexico are public access with the exception of a few military reserves.) ‘Rolandi’ is a chain restaurant that has a location at Zoetry, and one on Hildago, and several in Canacun. For a bit of an update on the ‘best hotels’ there is now a very pricy ‘Secrets Impression’ resort on the southeast side. There are hundreds of Airbnb locations on the Island as well. 😊

westin is pretty basic. during anime expo it's my usual go-to hotel as they have plenty of room. it's spacious for a single king, plenty of room in the bathroom and the AC is superb. that said it really feels like a trek to even get to the hotel room from the lobby. i've stayed at this hotel for at least 5 different occasions and i always get lost. the location itself feels kind of awkward since its about 5 or 6 blocks from the staples and LACC, so its about a 15-20min walk (cuz you'd have to be insane to get a ride from here to either of those locations). the price could be better but it's a solid 3 star hotel. i like their check in/out hours too (3pm/noon) where else other hotels seem to want you out just before lunch and check in time just before dinner. bleh.

Maldives ❌ is very expensive and tourists are ill treated, wearing bikinis can land you in jail, no alcohol and sharia law is applicable. Lakshadweep ✅ is very affordable, locals are nice and are very welcoming and there are no restrictions. Visit Lakshadweep ✅✅ Maldives ❌❌👎🏻👎🏻
